The Midwestern District of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters is comprised of four Regional Carpenter Councils that power the construction industry with highly skilled craftspeople who understand all aspects of the trade – superior craftsmanship, job site leadership, productivity, and teamwork. Our Councils include the Central Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters, the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters, North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, and the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council.

With more than 140-years of experience in the construction industry, we recognize that our continued success depends on continuing to be a model 21st century union—one with a laser focus on providing unmatched support for our members, highly skilled tradespeople for our contractors, and leadership for the industry.
The Midwestern District of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters proudly offers manpower solutions for all sectors of commercial construction, through a proprietary mix of elite training, leadership development, industry partnerships, and partnerships with our signatory contractors.

The Midwestern District covers 13 states including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Kansas, Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Michigan, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Our four regional councils fuel a 13-state construction community with superior work, job site leadership, and teamwork. Together, we train and support more than 131,000 professional carpenters, millwrights, and floorlayers across the Midwest.
